MOS Engineering, LLC. is a company formed by a partnership between a long-time OEM & Major Airline DER and a group of staffing entrepreneurs from the aviation industry.  By putting their heads together, they identified one common problem experienced by those involved with the maintenance of commercial aircrafts.  The common problem was that very few companies had access to large ranges of engineering expertise, and in most cases, relied on the OEM for DER services.  

        They first identified, through the engineer’s experience working both at an OEM as well as at a major airline, DER services directly from the OEM were very expensive and very slow.  In most cases approvals took days, not hours, and cost thousands of dollars.  The engineer then identified that many companies had anywhere from 1-5 engineers in-house.  Those engineers were required to be “Jacks-of-all-trades” and to cover 24/7 schedules.  Even if their specific area of expertise was in one discipline, they had to be able to handle all areas.  As expected, these engineers are very inefficient in the areas outside of their expertise.

        The solution is “Virtual Engineering”.
